These fluid satin glazes create a pearly sheen with subtle micro-crystalline effects that add depth and dimension to your work. Completely intermixable, they offer endless possibilities for custom colors and effects—and can be layered with other AMACO Cone 5/6 glazes, including the Potter’s Choice series, to create even more surface variation.
Glaze Fire To: Cone 5 = 1186°C / 2167°F * - Cone 6 = 1222°C / 2232°F
Apply to bisqueware fired to Cone 04 = 1063°C / 1945°F *
* Firing temperatures are based on normal (medium speed) firings.
Food Safe: Tested for lead and cadmium release in accordance with ASTM C738-94.
Application Tips:
- 3 brush coats recommended.
- If you apply the glaze heavily, 2 coats will also work.
- Best glazing brush to use: AMACO Fitch Fan Brush.
- Underapplication will result in a dry glaze with no crystals.
- Overapplication will cause a rough appearance.
- Can also lead to heavier flow.
